Individual detection tubes detect potential toxins and neutralize them, and if necessary, the stomach is isolated from the rest of the digestive tract. Stage 8 - Gene Detection Nerve [Omophage] This is a complex implantation surgery. It's actually part of the brain, but it's located in the spinal cord between the cervical and thoracic vertebrae. Stage 11 - Lyman's Ear [Lyman's Ear] This organization allows Space Marines to consciously enhance or filter specific background noise. After five years, the neck glands mature and can be removed. After ten years, the glands in the chest cavity mature and can be removed. The glands can be removed at any time as long as they are mature. These glands are the sole source of the Chapter's gene-seed. When mature, both glands contain the gene-seed for each of the recipient Space Marine's implanted organs. Once surgically removed, the gene storage gland must be carefully preserved. Each of its gene seeds is checked for the degree of mutation, and the healthy gene seeds are stored. Gene seeds are carefully preserved under suitable conditions. Stage 19 - Black Carapace This is the last and most special implant. It looks like a black plastic film when growing in a culture tank. After removing the culture medium, it was cut into large pieces and implanted directly under the skin of the Space Marine's torso. Over the course of several hours the tissue expanded, hardening on the outside and extending nerve bundles deep into the Space Marine's body.
