After I Left the Spotlight, the Actress's First Love Panicked

After I announced my retirement from the music industry, everyone applauded. The only person who objected was Qin Yun, my girlfriend's rumored lover and a newly acclaimed songwriting prodigy. In front of a crowd of reporters, he put on a sanctimonious act. “It’s all a misunderstanding. Senior Chi Yuan is an indispensable talent in the music world. I truly hope he’ll return to the stage.” I turned off my phone and ignored his appeal. In my previous life, one of my songs was exactly the same as his original single. Online users called me a plagiarism dog and cursed my whole family to die. Unwilling to accept it, I posted every step of my creative process, but there was no way to beat the publication time of the finished work. His new song came out ten minutes before mine. Because of those ten minutes, people sent me funeral wreaths and photoshopped death notices. Some even came to my home and splashed it with paint. Years of relentless online abuse left me with depression. My parents spent their entire fortune trying to clear my name, only to be burned to death by crazed fans. Finally, on the day his “original” song won an award, I jumped from a high-rise. To my surprise, when I opened my eyes again, I was reborn on the day the new song was released.
