Mom Is the Heroine of a Story About Abandoning Her Husband and Children

Mom knew perfectly well that Dad and I were allergic to flour, yet every morning she got up early to make us flour-based food. Dad and I had no choice but to take our breakfasts outside and throw them away.

The hundredth time we did it, Mom suddenly appeared. Her face full of disappointment, she pointed at Dad and me. “I gave you ninety-nine chances. I can’t forgive you this hundredth time. I don’t want you anymore.”

I cried and apologized, but she still resolutely packed her suitcase and left. Dad and I went to find her countless times, but she coldly turned us away.

Later, on my way to school, someone stabbed me. Only then did I learn that Mom was an internet celebrity who had built an online persona as a blogger who took advice from her followers. Dad and I were the ungrateful father and daughter in her “chasing his wife to the crematorium” storyline. To get famous, Mom had fabricated all sorts of scenes to make it look as though we despised her.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day Mom made flour-based food for the hundredth time.
