On a Typhoon Day, My Wife Kicked Me Out of the Car to Watch the Rain With Her Childhood Sweetheart

A super typhoon was approaching, but my wife ignored my desperate pleas and shoved me out of the car. Frowning, she snapped, “Stop being so dramatic. I told you, there’s an emergency at the office.” The car sped away, nearly clipping me and sending me sprawling. In an instant, the torrential rain drenched me to the skin. Windblown shards of glass struck my face, leaving it covered in blood. The doctor said that if the glass had hit just a little farther over, I would probably have gone blind in both eyes. Enduring the searing pain of my wounds, I took out my phone to pay the bill. But a new post from her male assistant popped up on the screen: “The most romantic thing is sitting together under a blanket, watching the rain during a typhoon.” At that moment, my heart turned to ash.
