My Wife Cut My Safety Rope to Save Her First Love

While we were rock climbing, the tree trunk holding our safety rope suddenly began to split. To save her male secretary, my wife cut my rope without a moment’s hesitation. I begged her in terror, but she only cut faster, cursing furiously. “You knew he was weak, and you still deliberately tried to get him killed.” “Hold on to the rocks beside you. I’ll come back to save you once I’ve got him somewhere safe.” I lost my grip and fell off the cliff, but she never came back. When I woke up, the doctor said I was lucky to have landed on a tree branch. Several of my organs were damaged, though, and I’d spent a week in the ICU. The person who rescued me had chosen to remain anonymous. Thinking my wife must have been frantic after I’d been missing for so long, I hurriedly grabbed my phone to let her know I was safe. But there wasn’t a single message from her, only a post from her male secretary: “It was only a few scrapes, but she stayed by my bed day and night, worried I’d wake from a nightmare with no one there.” Later, I asked for a divorce and withdrew all the client connections I’d secretly arranged for her.
