Transmigrated into a Book as the Burden in a Tragic Novel, I Ruin the Plot by Acting Insane

Also known as: After Trying to Break Them Up Eight Hundred Times, I Still Got a Seat at the Main Table

Yan Xi transmigrates into a book, and not just any book: she becomes the younger sister of the tragic romance’s heroine, a sickly burden who keeps the leads entangled.

According to the melodramatic story’s setup, all this burden has to do is lie in a hospital bed until the end, while her sister goes through all the usual tropes: physical and emotional abuse, misunderstandings over a first love, and the classic “she runs, he chases” routine.

Faced with a body that leaves her gasping after a few steps and sends her to the ICU just for going downstairs to catch a breeze, Yan Xi decides to give up and coast.

Then she sees her sister holding back tears as she strokes Yan Xi’s hair again and again, telling her with guilt and tenderness, “You’ve been through so much, Xixi.”

Yan Xi: …What makes that lousy male lead think he’s good enough for her?

So Yan Xi drags her gravely ill body into action, pulling her sister out of the mud time and again.

A medical miracle, truly.
