I am an ancient Yinglong, noble beyond compare. In my previous life, I formed a bond with Lin Ruoruo to repay her kindness. After bonding with me, she ripped out my protective dragon scale and gave it to a water snake spirit to play with. She used my dragon blood to nourish her beloved in the Ascension Pool. In the end, when gods and demons from the Upper Realm invaded in overwhelming numbers, she ignored the endless war engulfing our sect. While I was weakened, she betrayed the sect and tried to trade me for a chance for that water snake to ascend. Reborn on the day I chose my spirit beast, I resolutely walked toward the girl who had died protecting me in my previous life. Lin Ruoruo thought I’d chosen a useless creature just to spite her. The people of the sect were just as baffled. I smiled. This time, I’d show her what it meant to be heaven’s chosen prodigy, the hope of the sect. Who ascends to immortality is up to me!
