My Wife Was Playing Truth or Dare with Her Childhood Sweetheart When Her Mother Died

My adoptive mother had a terminal brain tumor, and before she died, all she wanted was to see me marry her daughter, Su Jiashan. I told Su about my adoptive mother's condition, then knelt on the ground and barked like a dog to amuse her junior fellow apprentice. At last, she agreed to marry me. But she skipped the wedding and sent someone to bring the family dog instead, telling me to marry it. My adoptive mother was so furious she fainted and was rushed to the emergency room. I called Su Jiashan and begged her to come see my adoptive mother one last time. Later, after I had arranged the funeral, I told Su, exhausted, that we were breaking up. But she did everything she could to make me stay. “My mother's dying wish was for us to get married. Can you bear to let her die without peace?” But Su Jiashan, my adoptive mother's dying wish was for me to be happy. She never wanted me to marry you.
