Reborn, I Refuse to Be My Wife's Backup

While my wife was pregnant, I received a spam text. Just as I was about to delete it, she saw the inappropriate content. She sobbed and screamed that I had betrayed her and threatened to get an abortion. Only after my mother-in-law and sister-in-law repeatedly talked her out of it did she relent. They said my wife had become depressed because of me. My heart ached for her, so I catered to her every whim and did whatever she said, all to help her live happily. I cared for her until she was in her sixties or seventies, and she eventually passed away peacefully. While going through her belongings, I found a letter she had written to another man when she was young. “I'm sorry. I had his child, and I must atone with my life. But you have to believe that my heart will always belong to you.” The next second, my son rushed over in a panic and snatched away the letter. “Don't go messing with Mom's things. You'll sully the pure love between them.” As he berated me, he failed to notice how hard he was pushing. I fell to the floor, hitting the back of my head hard. I died, full of resentment. When I opened my eyes again, my wife was sobbing and shouting that she was going to jump off a building.
