After the Divorce, My CEO Ex-Wife Regretted It Too Late

Chen La and I dated for eight years and were married for three. She helped her first love secure his position at the company and silenced all his critics, yet told me to swallow my anger and stop making a fuss. I was showing a colleague how to handle a work task when she threw a file in my face, leaving me disfigured. Later, I went to a factory and was caught in a disturbance, facing the threat of being taken hostage. I helplessly called her for help, but she was preparing a promotion gift for her first love. After I asked for a divorce, she fell to her knees as if she’d lost her soul, begging me not to leave. She even arranged a press conference to make me a public spectacle. Eleven years together had finally earned me a title, but I didn’t care for it anymore.
