The Day I Was in a Car Crash, My Wife Was with Her True Love

The day I was in a car accident, my wife was accompanying the man she cherished to meet my family. As I hit the ground, I suddenly remembered something I’d once said during an argument: “When I die, I’ll drink Granny Meng’s soup, forget you, and never love you again.”

She had looked at me with utter disdain. “Then don’t love me. Who cares?”

Now I was truly dead. I hadn’t drunk Granny Meng’s soup, and I would never love her again. But when she learned I was dead, she clung to my body and wouldn’t let anyone cremate it.
