Reborn on the Day the Zombie King Chose His Bride

When the apocalypse struck and the world mutated, my best friend and I became rare surviving human females. After we were captured, I was chosen by the Underworld Flame Corpse King, who had awakened the power of fire. Within a year, I gave birth to a little Corpse King with exceptional talent. His territory kept expanding, and the Underworld Flame Corpse King became a regional overlord. I became the most revered woman of the apocalypse.

My best friend, meanwhile, went with the Water Ghost Corpse King, who had awakened the power of water. Before long, other Corpse Kings killed him and seized his territory. She became a captive once again, passed between several groups of corpses and made to suffer, until I finally rescued her. But instead of being grateful, she was consumed by jealousy and pushed me off a high-rise. I took her with me as I fell to our deaths. Reborn into a new life, I returned to the day we were assigned our spoils. My best friend eagerly threw herself into the arms of the Underworld Flame Corpse King, his face covered in flaming tattoos. Seeing her malicious smile, I smiled too. At last I could escape that hellhole. Who'd have thought someone would be foolish enough to jump right in!
