Reborn on the Day the Zombie King Chose His Bride

When the apocalypse arrived, the whole world underwent a mutation. My best friend and I became rare surviving human females. After we were captured, the Netherfire Corpse King, who had awakened fire powers, picked me. In less than a year, I gave birth to a little Corpse King with extraordinary talent. His territory kept growing, and the Netherfire Corpse King came to dominate the region. I became the most exalted woman of the apocalypse.

My best friend, meanwhile, went with the Water Wraith Corpse King, who had awakened water powers. It wasn't long before other Corpse Kings killed him and seized his territory. She became a captive again, suffered through several groups of zombies, and was eventually rescued by me. But instead of being grateful, she grew insanely jealous and pushed me off a high-rise.

I dragged her down with me. Reborn, I returned to the day the spoils were assigned. My best friend eagerly threw herself into the arms of the Netherfire Corpse King, whose face was covered in flaming tattoos.

Seeing the malicious grin on her face, I smiled too. At last, I could leave that hellhole behind. What a fool, jumping right into it!
