Her Descendants Call for Help, and She Makes a Comeback as a Science Whiz

The new book The Yi Family’s Life in the 1970s Is Being Livestreamed to the Interstellar Era is out. Readers are warmly invited to join us in exploring this new world. In plain terms: please show it lots of support!

One night, Ding Zhenyi, an ordinary high school freshman in Kyoto, is suddenly awakened by a strange voice calling her “Ancestor” and begging for help.

She assumes it was just a dream. But when she opens WeChat on her phone, she finds an account that seems to have appeared out of nowhere: “The Ding Family’s Last Two Survivors 1.” The chat shows the very words that woke her.

Then she discovers that she has a descendant-saving System. The System warns her that if she doesn’t save these last two survivors, the Ding family will truly die out.

More than a thousand years in the future, the Ding family’s last two survivors are struggling to stay alive. Just as Ding An is about to give up in despair, she remembers her ancestor, whom her father mentioned on his deathbed, and tries calling out, “Ancestor, if you don’t show your divine power soon, your descendants will be wiped out.”

“Ancestor, I don’t need anything else. Just give your descendants a sip of water, then something to eat. Anything will do, as long as it’s edible.”

This successfully activates the descendant-saving System within Ding Zhenyi and sets her journey to save her descendants in motion.
