Fantasy Song Dynasty: The Imperial Princess Ascends to Immortality

The History of Song is full of twists and turns. No other history book can compare, and later generations have never managed to make sense of it.

The candlelight and axe incident hardly needs mentioning, but even a black apparition took shape and wreaked havoc in the imperial palace.

Guan Yu went unknown for nine hundred years. Only after he slew a flood dragon in the Chongning era and was granted the title True Lord of Chongning did his fame spread far and wide.

By the Xuanhe era, Daoist thunder magic had suddenly flourished. Cultivators summoned gods and spirits, called back the dead, and unleashed thunderbolts from the heavens. The “Black Man” of Xijing preyed on children, flood dragons stirred up storms in Kaifeng, and the Fan Tower served dragon liver and phoenix gall. The Celestial Master of Longhu Mountain even foretold the Jingkang calamity of the Red Horse and Red Goat years. The entire Song Dynasty seemed to be undergoing a spiritual qi revival.

Jingkang: could Yao Pingzhong of the Western Army really ride a donkey eight hundred li in a day?

Could the young Daoist Guo Jing really gather 7,777 golden-armored divine soldiers without a single person at court objecting?

Why was Wanyan Zongwang wounded in his left arm, only to die the following year?

After the fall of Song, the pleasure quarters, Song lyrics and melodies, tea ceremony, and incense arts all seemed never to have existed. Did later generations truly fail to preserve even a single word about them?

After her soul transmigrates into Princess Maode, Zhao Fujin, she cleaves the heavens with a single sword and unravels the fantastical History of Song hidden within the Heavenly Dao.

PS: This is a non-mainstream fantasy system that places history first and focuses on solving mysteries. All major events in the book are drawn from the Three Histories of Song, in an attempt to reinterpret the enigmatic Song Dynasty through a fantasy lens. Also, the female lead is single, will not marry, and has no romantic pairing.
