I Tossed a Little Fox at the Divine Venerable!

[Modern setting + mild horror + coming-of-age + episodic stories]

[Lawless, hot-tempered little fox Su Xi (Xi) vs. a god born of heaven and earth, calm and steady]

“What is No. 44 Yanluo Alley?”

“That's the Strange Affairs Bureau. It handles strange happenings throughout the world.”

The Strange Affairs Bureau: It brings peace to wronged spirits and keeps the order of the human world intact.

Su Xi: On the surface, a bright-eyed college student; in reality, the boss of the Strange Affairs Bureau.

On the surface: mature, aloof, emotionally steady, and reliable. In reality: quietly short-tempered, childish, and utterly lawless.

Xi Yao: On the surface, the head of the Strange Affairs Bureau; in reality, a god born of heaven and earth.

A god's daily routine: teach the little fox, raise the little fox, spoil the little fox.

“Chief! The boss broke the rules again and got taken away!”

The god, so busy he could barely think straight, drops what he is doing and vanishes in an instant to rescue her.

“That little fox acts and carries herself exactly like the god.”

“Of course. The god raised her himself.”

Xi Yao: “Xi Xi, what was the original purpose of establishing the Strange Affairs Bureau?”

Su Xi: “To let the dead rest in peace, and to let the living keep hope for this world...”
