The Confucian Dao's Young Constable

I am Xu Taiping. I am illiterate. I am an unremarkable young constable. I am slick and cunning, devious and ruthless, greedy for money, faithless when profit is at stake, and quick to change sides with the wind. I am upright and incorruptible, utterly loyal, free of corruption, righteous to the core, and devoted to serving the people by eliminating evil. You tell me. Which one is the real me? I am Xu Taiping. I am simply myself. A young constable who gets by on all sides in a world ruled by the supreme Confucian Dao.
