The Villainous Chancellor Is My Younger Brother

Zheng Qiuyun becomes the eldest sister of the Zheng family. Her two younger brothers will both grow up to be terrible people. One will be a traitorous minister who colludes with the enemy; the other, a treacherous chancellor who seizes power. In the end, the male lead kills them, and the comments section says they got what they deserved. But right now, Zheng Wuan and Zheng Wenping stand before her like a pair of little chicks. On this freezing day, they shiver with cold, their noses red and their little hands cracked, yet they still offer Zheng Qiuyun the freshly roasted sweet potatoes. “Elder Sister, you eat.” Later, at court, the original male lead points his sword at Zheng Wenping and Zheng Wuan, declaring that he will purge the court and execute the treacherous ministers. Not a single person in the court speaks up in agreement. Princes fight among themselves, and innocent people die. How can they be called traitors? Zheng Wenping establishes schools for the common people, Zheng Wuan fights off foreign enemies, and Zheng Qiuyun opens the granaries to distribute food. Who, then, are the loyal subjects? The palace doors swing wide, and Pei Yuanqi, who should be guarding the frontier, marches in at the head of his troops. As everyone panics, he says with a faint smile, “Are my two brothers-in-law really that annoying? For my sake, Wenping, Wuan, make the eldest prince apologize to you, and we'll call it even.” The civil and military officials: “Listen to him. Does that sound like something a normal person would say?”
