Empress Xiaoxi

Wan Xian only wishes to escape her stepmother’s abuse, never imagining she will become Emperor Kangxi’s fourth empress, and eventually the second woman to reside in the Palace of Compassion and Tranquility and the second Grand Empress Dowager of the Qing Dynasty. The heroine thinks Kangxi is a good man. (Kangxi is 43 years older than the heroine. They share a romantic bond, but their relationship is more familial. She will not become romantically involved with the Yongzheng Emperor.) This is my first time writing a story, just a bit of practice. The premise is pure imagination. Please don’t flame it if it’s not to your taste. I welcome your advice. Any similarities are purely coincidental.
