Deyun: From Unmasking the Trick to Becoming a Legend

Zhou Yuntian transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes a member of Deyun’s Yun generation! But every time the troupe promotes him, he ends up having bad luck. Over the years, even the junior fellow disciples who came after him have become famous, while he remains stuck in the middle of the pack. Finally, more than ten years later, his master plans another “unmasking” routine to give him a big push. Onstage! Zhou Yuntian: “I’ve got a wild story. I once crashed a motorcycle into a Xiali. I saw an old man in the car and thought he was waving me over, so I went right in. Bam!” Yu Qian: “Idiot, I waved you over. I didn’t tell you to come inside.” Zhou Yuntian: “One day, the old man gave me a shipping-container-sized pile of firecrackers and said, ‘Go set them off. It’ll be a blast!’ I actually listened to him. By the end of that night, I’d turned into an African woman!” Hahaha! Hearing the performers’ stories, everyone below was laughing so hard they could barely close their mouths. But nobody knew that this “unmasking” routine, staged again after more than ten years, would make Zhou Yuntian a legend with a single performance, and nearly cost the old man Yu Qian his life onstage.
