The Rejected Little Jinx Is the Real Oracle

Little Lingbao was the Wang family’s notorious jinx. Her birth supposedly killed her mother, crows flew from her mouth whenever she spoke, and by the age of three she’d been abused and driven out of her adoptive parents’ home! Then her eight uncles arrived like heroes, welcoming their little princess back to the Ling family and spoiling her rotten with stars and the moon. The Wang family munched on sunflower seeds and watched for a laugh. “Whoever takes in that little jinx is doomed. Just wait, the Ling family will go bankrupt in spectacular fashion~” Little Lingbao piped up, “The Ling family will be the richest in the country soon!” The moment the words left her mouth, the Ling family reclaimed the top spot among the nation’s richest and shot to number one on the annual global rich list. The Wang family fumed. “Just wait, that little jinx will curse the whole Ling family to death!” Little Lingbao cuddled up to Grandpa Ling, who was on his deathbed. “Grandpa will live to be a hundred!” She touched her fourth uncle’s badly injured hand. “Uncle will get better right away!” Then she patted her uncle, who was in a vegetative state. “Uncle, stop sleeping!” Whatever she said came true! The scattered members of the Ling family all got back on their feet. Those nursing broken hearts found their destined partners, those feeling lost rose to great success, and someone missing for years... descended from the heavens in a blaze of glory aboard a private jet. The rich and powerful flocked in from every corner of the world, lining up just to ask Little Lingbao for a few auspicious words. The Wang family regretted everything. The baby they had abandoned was actually a blessed child with the gift of prophecy! So they fell to their knees: “Please, little ancestor, bless us with a few kind words.” Little Lingbao: “I can’t bless you. I’m a little jinx.”
