Becoming a Bug in a Bizarre Game

[Welcome, Player No. 10086, to the Bizarre Game. You have only one mission: survive to the end.]

*

Players who first meet Sang Qi in the game all think she’s the very embodiment of holiness and kindness.

That is, until they see the young woman smiling sweetly as she deceives gods and Buddhas alike. Then they grit their teeth and lament their own blindness: Sang Qi is clearly a scheming little devil.

Sang Qi: “You don’t understand. It’s called professional integrity for a con artist.”

The others are outraged.

Take your professional integrity and get out of the game!

Born from lies and deception, Sang Qi knows human nature at its worst. She takes endless delight in testing people, making her living by it. That’s what makes her a con artist.

A strange village overrun with poisonous insects.

A remote mountain village haunted by ghosts.

A lonely island surrounded by sea on all sides.

Sang Qi never tires of showing off a con artist’s gift for persuasion. Her teammates anxiously warn her to be careful not to take things too far.

Until another round ends, and Sang Qi falls silent.

Why did no one tell her that game NPCs could show up in real life?
