The Snake Wife

One stormy night, I took shelter in a temple that enshrined the Snake Immortal. Starving, I sneaked a bite of his sacrificial fruit and accidentally smashed his spirit tablet, bringing disaster down on myself! Later, when I was on the verge of death, he transformed into a devastatingly handsome man and saved my life. From then on, he followed me... No, he latched onto me, leaving me no peace day or night. The hospital where I worked and my home suddenly became shrouded in mystery: my roommate died horribly in our dorm, a disfigured woman in white appeared in a photograph, a pair of blood-red eyes stared from the bathroom, and an examination room disappeared, only to reappear out of nowhere...! With my life hanging by a thread, the snake narrowed his beautiful pale-violet eyes and grinned wickedly. “There's only one way to save your life.” “What way?” He suddenly pulled me into his arms and smiled seductively. “The way is...” Pah! You stinking snake, keep dreaming!
