I Really Do Grant Every Wish

The previous temple keepers at the Earth God Temple in Fu Family Village all received stone steles bearing their posthumous titles, the highest honor, shortly before their deaths. But when it came to the generation of Chen Wangchuan’s master, all he got was a paltry funeral banner. Chen Wangchuan even suspected his master had been angered to death by that banner. “Wangchuan, remember this: our Fu Family Village lineage has always lived by one rule, we answer every prayer!” With his dying breath, his master clutched Chen Wangchuan’s hand. Chen Wangchuan looked deeply troubled. “But, Master, you never taught me anything.” After his master died, Chen Wangchuan was at a loss. To make matters worse, the demons and monsters of Ghost Capital Mountain, beside the village, coveted the Earth God’s position in Fu Family Village. If he couldn’t be a temple keeper, then he might as well become the Earth God of Fu Family Village! Years later, Chen Wangchuan lounged in the Earth God Temple, now renamed Wangchuan Hall. Looking at the four characters carved on the stone tablet by the entrance, “Every Prayer Answered,” he smiled faintly. The world was vast, filled with gods, Buddhas, immortals, demons, and monsters. Cultivators refined their energy, coming and going like the wind. And yet it was small, consisting of no more than that tiny patch of land around Fu Family Village.
