Taking Lin Miaomiao on a Trip

“There are two of me in this world. One strolls slowly through the pages in white robes and blue garments; the other scrapes by in the drudgery of everyday life, year after year.

There are two of me in this world. One raises a cup to invite the bright moon; the other kneels to pick up scattered coins.

There are two of me in this world. One fights through everything for my family; the other comforts my soul in a dark corner.

There are two of me in this world. The me who compromises with reality looks into the mirror, while the me who refuses to bow looks back from within it.

There are two of me in this world. One lifts his head to gaze at the moonlight; the other lowers it to pick up sixpence.

There are two of me in this world. By day, one uses his body to muddle through life; by night, the other uses his soul to fill the passing years.”

I'll write the version of myself I love into a book, so he can live the life I want for me.
