A Siheyuan in Tianmen Sect

Heaven and earth are the board, and all living beings are the pieces. Cultivators seek the Dao, believing they can escape the game, but in the end they are only fooling themselves.

Zhang Youdao is a cook at Tianmen Sect, living alongside a group of cultivators who never know whether they’ll have food tomorrow. The many ways people seek immortality are no different from those of ordinary folk. Trapped in the game, they can only wait for the day they break free of heaven and earth and become truly unconstrained.
