In the north, there's a common kind of poplar called the sky-piercing poplar. Where I'm from, people call it the sky-climbing poplar. It is a tall tree with a small crown that can grow more than 30 meters high. It's also incredibly resilient, able to withstand both cold and drought. No matter how fierce the storm, afterward it still seems to stand firm in its place. Even if strong winds bend it or snap it, as long as its roots remain, countless new branches soon sprout from them. Even if it never grows into a towering poplar again, its tenacious vitality is enough to bring tears to your eyes.
