Thinking about it now, Lao Niu's book can be regarded as planting a small seed, or watering the seed in my heart. Two or three years later, when I was in high school, I wanted to seek answers about death. At that time, it had been a year or two since my mother's cancer surgery, but I started to fear death. Start asking yourself what is the meaning of death? Dark, cold, and eternal loss. Why are we born destined to die? This continuous questioning and deep confusion lasted for more than half a year. But if you ask, it's probably always been there. Fear and confusion about death are issues in everyone's life. Then it happened that during the period when I was most confused, Lao Niu was serializing "Spiritual Energy is Compelling" and wrote about the Immortal Man. Now I don't quite remember the specific words of Lao Niu in those chapters. But that feeling of relief stayed with me. Actually, looking back a few years ago, Lao Niu's logic is still quite rough in some places. But it appeared at the right time, just at the point where I was looking for the answer. It's a bit mysterious, I believe this is the answer given to me by fate. It taught me that death has meaning and taught me to be open-minded. It is no exaggeration to say that this sense of open-mindedness has become my outlook on life. How can I describe it? It is not a specific, coherent logic, concept, or knowledge. As I said before, I forgot about it after a few years, and even looking back I feel it is a bit untenable - but the change in my view of the words that moved me at the beginning did not affect the open-mindedness and relief that I had left. I think I just needed a reason to accept it all, and fate gave me the chance to accept it. Lao Niu's book was an important opportunity. Anyone else would never have felt the way I did at that moment. I later showed these chapters to my classmates at the same school. Although they also exclaimed, "It feels very reasonable and they have been convinced," but when I observed their expressions, they were not as shocked as I was. It's like seeing a golden saying that you feel is valuable, but you may forget it soon. I think so do I, but it has become a milestone in my life, so I may recall it inadvertently when I get older.
