Honghuang: I’m a Fruit Spirit Who Absorbs Merit

Lu Yuan transmigrates into a ginseng fruit and becomes a fruit spirit who can absorb and release merit.

Everyone wants to mooch off him, so the fruit spirit becomes everyone’s favorite.

Houtu: “Don’t ask why merit always accompanies me. If you can get the fruit spirit to eat fruit, then you can have it too.”

Xuanming: “The fruit spirit eats fruit? How cruel... But it really is delicious.”

Nuwa: “Fellow Daoist Houtu, would you mind if I helped feed him too?”

Xihe and Changxi: “What? A heavenly marriage earns merit from the Heavenly Dao? Then what are we waiting for? Fellow Daoist Lu Yuan... We’re willing.”
