My Fated Lover

There’s a noodle shop in the east of town. Few people ever visit, but its doors are always open. Whoever walks in, the menu always has the same handful of noodle dishes, all at perfectly ordinary prices. Nothing seems out of place. Just when everyone assumes the owner is barely scraping by, the man proves surprisingly capricious, shutting up shop for a week or even half a month every now and then. Then one day, a spirited, tigerish-looking young woman appears as a waitress, and the noodle shop gradually starts drawing a crowd. Before long, all sorts of strange people begin showing up too. In a parallel world, there is an organization called the Space-Time Administration, and Liu Fanghua is one of its employees. In his everyday life, he runs a noodle shop, simply because he knows how to make noodles and likes eating them. When nothing is going on, he’s just an ordinary noodle-shop owner. When the organization needs him, he transforms into a mysterious figure who travels between worlds. At first, Liu Fanghua found it hard to get used to, but gradually it all became perfectly ordinary. It all began after he joined the organization, when they started fretting over his marriage prospects.
