Clear, Blue Waters and a Bright, Azure Sky

Gaopo Village is a poor village in Taiping Township. It has suffered from a lack of water since ancient times. Whenever drought struck, it was difficult even to get drinking water, let alone irrigate the crops. After the campaign to eliminate poverty began, the Water Resources Bureau's young poverty-alleviation task force arrived in Gaopo Village. Under the leadership of captain Liu Zhigang, they built irrigation canals and water diversion projects, and dug wells for impoverished households. They brought water to Gaopo Village's fields and safe drinking water to its villagers.
