Well, recently the author has reflected on why many people are jumping to read it. I'm sorry to say that I am one of them. Here are my personal highlights (warning, a bit long) 1) The plot of the story is a bit easy to guess. Other typical examples include the filial son Xu Zhe/Tai Cishi, and the female coroner Ma Yunce, one of whom bullied Sima/Jia. It's not your fault, these are classic romance tunes after all. But the old bookworm has read too much. In particular, there are dozens of fanfics about Lu Bu, and the more you read them, the more you feel repetitive. In addition to romance, you can refer to history or other literary works. For example, "Fire Phoenix Starts a Prairie Fire". People who have read this comic will definitely be deeply impressed by Lu Bu in it. Why? Nine out of ten people who write about Lu Bu describe him as a character with super strength but simple mind. For example, Huang Zhong is really a veteran? History is actually not accurate. The only basis is Guan Yu's sentence (not listed with the veterans). We can only guess that he is older than Guan Yu, and may not be as tall as Yanyi in actual age. If so, Chen Shou should highlight it. These examples are for reference only. The story is set by you, the author. Don't get stuck in the novel, because there are already dozens of fans trapped there. 2) The character description may not be deep enough. A good story needs characters that readers can take on. A few points: -Why does Lu Bu want to fight for hegemony? What happened when he was young? The difficulties he encountered? Want to change society? At least it is not described in depth here. At first I was scared after seeing the novel. But didn't some of the plots change? Dong Zhuo didn't pose any threat to Lu Bu, just the speculation and decentralization of power typical of a superior. Why is Lu Bu so afraid? Maybe adding some background will give him a sense of substitution, or give him some setbacks during Dong Zhuo's period to pave the way for his later motivations. -During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, weren't you already an emperor? Why do you still need that status? Is it addiction, life inspiration or something? It's a bit vague now. It feels like he just wants to be a puppet and compete for hegemony step by step. I don't know what I want to do after becoming emperor. -The supporting characters have low presence. A good green leaf can support a story. But so far, the supporting characters seem to appear only when appropriate and are by definition a dispensable tool. For example, Jia Xu. At present, we understand that he is afraid of death, and then he is smart and lazy, and then he is gone. What's his ambition? Interest? What's special about it? Just replacing him with a capable sergeant will not affect Dagang. Now that he is dead, it is difficult to feel that Lu Bu will be heartbroken, because we have not seen his connection with Lu Bu. After giving up, the generals can accept it. But again, the connection and background are not deep. Just focus on a few characters. For example, the short paragraph about Zhang Liao is very good. We can understand how sensitive he and the Bingzhou Army are to the Jiang clan. You can write and explain more about Mao Dun and let these characters have blood and tears. Others, such as Yan Yan and Zhang Renjiu, don't need to write too much unless they are of great use. You see now we have all left Gao Shun aside.
