Urban Envoy from Another World

A year ago! No, even a month ago, if someone had told me that ghosts existed, I might have smiled and replied without arguing, “I believe you.” Although I'd never seen a ghost, and although I'm an atheist, that doesn't stop people from believing. There's no point wasting my breath over it. But if the question were something like, “There are demons in the world. I've seen one,” I would have spat in his face, given him a look like he was an idiot, and asked, “Have you been reading too many Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio or myths? Are you hoping to play Ning Caichen, like in a novel?” But life is unpredictable! My atheist worldview has been shattered to pieces. Ghosts? Demons? Spirits! Monsters!
