Bounty Hunter April's Lament

Dawn was walking towards him slowly, hunched over. At least that's what he thought, and then he thought, why was he forgotten? All his companions were killed, and he was the only one forgotten in a corner of the ruins? He stood up, straightened his clothes, and prepared to return to his hometown across the vast desert. They told him at the beginning that this place is full of opportunities and that if you work hard enough, you can have a good life. But where is it? I've never seen that. Where is this road to happiness? He thought.
