The Jinx of Football

When Pele saw Wang Tao charging toward him with the ball, he hurriedly stepped aside.

Maradona shouted from nearby, “Aaaah~~~ Wang Tao, don’t come over here! Don’t come any closer!”

Cruyff, watching from the sidelines, couldn’t take it anymore. He shouted, “Beckenbauer, go stop Wang Tao!”

Beckenbauer folded his arms and shook his head. “If you can do it, go on. If you can’t, quit running your mouth.”

Vieira and Makelele frantically gestured to Maldini, Baresi, and Cannavaro, getting ready to gang up on Wang Tao.

Keane laughed. “Those guys are in for it.”

With the ball at his feet, Wang Tao stood in the center circle and addressed them. “Anything bad happen to you lately? Tell us all about it so we can have a good laugh.”

Wang Tao: a man whose name alone makes the greatest stars in football fall silent.
