I Really Don't Want to Be This Lord

Arthur: “Reverend Aminia, I’ve truly been framed. My loyalty to the Lord of Light has never wavered.”

“Just look: these five chests contain even more faith crystals than the amount of faith the previous priests earned through a whole year of hard work.”

A handsome nobleman clung desperately to a priest’s leg. To save his own skin, he seized the brief moment when his clinging had left dozens of nearby Holy Light knights stunned, and quickly and clearly pointed to the five large chests his soldiers had opened. His expression was so aggrieved that he might as well have cut out his own heart to prove his loyalty.

After going to such lengths and trading the wealth he’d amassed by stripping his entire territory bare for faith crystals to save his life, Arthur thought he was finally in for a life of noble luxury. But a month later:

“Bad news, my lord! The Holy Light Legion has been defeated again and again, and now those wizards who love corpses and souls are in charge here again.” The transmigrator, who had just been preparing to strip another layer off his territory to fund his lifestyle, froze.
