Dr. Ruan Is Breaking Character Again

[Sorry, I’ve dropped this story.] [Campus romance to wedding bells × sweet romance × cool older woman and devoted puppy × reunion after years apart] Ten years ago, Ruan Yuan first met Yan Qi while he was beating up the boy she secretly loved. Ten years later, she ran into Yan Qi again and mistook him for a burglar, sending him straight to the police station. * One day, Ruan Yuan went out to eat with a friend and didn’t reply to his messages in time. After she’d spent ages trying to placate him Ruan Yuan: I’m done comforting you. Let’s just destroy the world! Yan Qi burst into tears, clinging to Ruan Yuan’s leg and sobbing: Come on, comfort me a little more! Just a bit longer, and I’ll be fine! The door slammed shut. … Half a minute later, Ruan Yuan opened the door, grabbed Yan Qi by the collar, and pinned him against the wall. She tipped up his chin and gazed into his dark, rain-soaked eyes, smiling faintly. “Ten years ago, you said you wanted to marry me. Does that still stand?” [Yan Qi, who only wants to be her bodyguard × Ruan Yuan, who seems aloof but is actually devious] * What does it mean to love someone? You don’t love someone because they’re wonderful in every way. You love them because, despite all their flaws, you still can’t help loving them.
