He’s Been Longing to Run to Her

Synopsis: Sweet romance, one couple, love goes both ways

[An obsessive, depressed designer vs. a sweet, healing novelist]

A City’s genius designer, Du Jiang, was sadly far from normal. He suffered from severe bipolar disorder and was obsessive and sensitive. As a child, his parents abandoned him in an unfamiliar city, where he grew up fighting others for food. Later, someone adopted him, only for him to jump from the frying pan into the fire, enduring inhuman humiliation and torment.

He thought he’d finally found a glimmer of hope, but that light only led him to another abyss. His girlfriend of three years stole all his assets, left him with a mountain of debt, and went abroad to live it up with someone else. He was left homeless, with no one to turn to and no idea what to do.

Jin Yan was a freelancer whose dream was to live like a carefree slacker. On her way home one day, she came across a young man in a miserable state. In that moment, she had only one thought: to hold him tight and ease the burden weighing on his heart.

She saw her former self in him. She wanted to embrace the young man, and the person she used to be.

She became his salvation, staking everything on him, fighting people for him, studying medicine for him, and learning how to deal with all kinds of people, all in the hope of leading him out of the abyss.

And he became her salvation too. When she went blind, he became her eyes. When she was framed, he stood up for her. When she had nothing, he stayed steadfast by her side.

Love goes both ways, but I’d still come to you even if it were one-sided, because you’re worth it.
