After Ascending to Godhood

Storyteller on stage: They say Yan He of Hanshan ascended to immortality at the age of three hundred and twenty, joining the ranks of the High Gods of the Three Realms. Amid a grand celebration, the white-robed Divine Lord offered a dance and presented himself as a candidate, and the Heavenly Emperor bestowed upon her the phoenix hairpin passed down through generations of empresses. Who could have guessed that after ascending in glory one day, she would see her clan massacred the next? The astonishingly gifted princess and High God became the last daughter of a fallen clan. Newly arrived in the Ninth Heaven, Her Highness Yan He blundered about, unfamiliar with the ways of the world, unaware that a strange tale of romance was slowly unfolding... Below the stage, Yan He was nodding off when something seemed to jolt her awake: Eggs? What eggs?
