The Man Carrying the Guitar

The novel mainly tells the wandering life of Li Cheng as a resident singer. Li Cheng's parents passed away in a car accident when he was a child, and his grandmother raised Li Cheng alone. But the good times did not last long when grandma got seriously ill and died because she had no money for treatment. At the age of fifteen, he carried the guitar that his father gave him before his death and made a living by singing and singing in bars. From my hometown in a small village in Chongqing, I have been wandering around and singing in small bars for a short period of time. I went all the way south from Chongqing to Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and then went to Lhasa to realize my Tibetan dream. Then he went to Xinjiang from Tibet, where Li Cheng met a beautiful girl, Yilan Marie, but the two were not together for long and were separated due to an accident. After two years in Xinjiang, Li Cheng bought an off-road vehicle and traveled across most of China. Finally, when Li Cheng was in his sixties, he settled in an ancient town in Suzhou. The singing and wandering along the way made Li Cheng experience too much hardship in the world. After leaving Xinjiang, Li Cheng picked up a pen and wrote down his own story. Everywhere he went, Li Cheng not only sang but also wrote. After more than 20 years, Li Cheng finally stopped, sold his car, and lived in peace in the ancient town of Suzhou.
