Buzzer-Beater from Beyond the Arc

Su Xun was nothing more than a slightly talented neighborhood-court basketball queen. Then one day, someone challenged her to a one-on-one game. The captain of the Beihai team was definitely good, and he managed to stir up the competitive spirit of this laid-back girl. Everyone kept placing their hopes on her, but she repeatedly backed away: “To me, that isn’t ‘I hope you will.’ It’s ‘You have to.’ I don’t know if I have the courage to carry everyone’s expectations.” But Nan Ting, that gentle, composed boy, encouraged her time and again whenever she lost confidence: “You have to believe that you play basketball for yourself, not because of me.” When Su Xun won the WCBA Finals MVP for the first time, she smiled at the camera during her interview and said: “Nan Ting, thank you for choosing to be part of my game.” [WCBA’s taciturn ace player VS THU’s wildly popular, talented captain] Meeting her was like spring water reflecting pear blossoms; seeing him was like a summer breeze meeting rosy clouds. From supporting each other through high school to becoming pillars of the basketball world together. Growing together, choosing each other every step of the way. * The early school-life chapters won’t take up much space. Once they move on to college, it’ll be pure sweetness. Feel free to dive in, everyone. If it isn’t sweet... this humble monk will take not only the Three Refuges and Five Precepts, but also a vow to give up sugar for good. (serious face)
