Reincarnated as a Slime in Douluo, Checking In to Invincibility

Having died on the battlefield, Dao Hongmeng was reborn in the world of Douluo Dalu by accident.

Why do all the other people who transmigrate get reborn as humans, dragons, phoenixes, or qilin, then casually cultivate for a while before kicking rich heirs to the curb, embracing Qian Renxue, marrying Bibi Dong, and reaching the pinnacle of life?

Why was I reborn as a slime? And not just any slime, but one whose species I can't even identify.

And even if I was reincarnated as a slime from the start, why do I have a hellishly difficult quest to build a Slime Empire? Heaven, are you messing with me?
