The Ninth Prince Spoils His Wife

A deal leads to the capital’s ugliest woman marrying its most handsome man, the Ninth Prince. Qin Rao thinks she’s gotten a great bargain, never realizing that he’s been secretly watching her for a long time. “Your Highness, the empress dowager doesn’t approve of our marriage. Should we call it off?” “Hmph! Does she want to stop being empress dowager?” One day, a subordinate reports, “Disaster, Your Highness! The princess consort burned down the general’s manor!” “I see.” He calmly adds another flame to the fire. “You can deal with anyone you like, but don’t let my beloved consort get hurt.” On their wedding night, Qin Rao curls her lip and smiles nonchalantly. “Ninth Lord, I’m famous throughout the capital for being ugly.” The prince replies, “You’re ugly, and I’m blind.”
