Her Deception

Over there, Meng Zhijing slung her little bag over her shoulder, pulled out her phone, and answered carelessly. “Hello?” “Ah, Sister Zhijing!” A young, energetic male voice came through the phone, excitement clear in his tone. Meng Zi stepped outside and glanced at the crescent moon, popping a mint she had casually taken from the cashier’s counter into her mouth. “What do you mean, Sister Zhijing?” “I’m your brother, Meng Zi.” Meng Zhijing, who has dissociative identity disorder and studies psychology, becomes an assistant to Dr. Liang Chen at her mentor’s recommendation. Professor Liang, a player in both love and life, initially sees her as prey. But then he discovers that she is the child of an accomplice of the criminal who kidnapped him years ago, and also the person who saved him. The major 668 case is what links them. For one of them, it is a thing of the past, long since over. For the other, it is only the beginning. As for Meng Zhijing, she has only one goal. To achieve it, she is willing to use anyone and anything. The story unfolds along two timelines, past and present, told in parallel. All theories mentioned are a mix of information the author found on Baidu and things they made up. The cases are fictional. Any resemblance is purely coincidental, so please do not assume they refer to real people or events.
