The Empress's Man

The emperor of the Great Yan Dynasty is a woman, and so is the Grand Secretary. The struggle between male and female power runs throughout the dynasty's history.

A century after its founding, once-mighty Great Yan has become helpless prey to its four neighbors: the Eastern Wo, Northern Xiongnu, Western Barbarians, and Southern Tu.

Lin Mou is the son of a condemned criminal, awaiting execution. Yet the old imperial uncle insists he marry into the royal family and become the man of Empress Ding'an.

With treacherous ministers within and powerful enemies all around, what path should Lin Mou take?

In Lin Mou's view, the idea that women are inferior to men is utterly wrong, but so is the idea that men are superior to women. The right path is for men and women to rule the world as equals.

He will have to pay a heavy price for this belief.
