Reborn as the Demon Phoenix Empress

The Dragon Clan of the Celestial Realm follows the ancestral precepts, and has intermarried with the Phoenix Clan for generations. For generations, only a woman of the ancient Phoenix Clan could become the Heavenly Queen. But the hereditary throne of the Heavenly Queen came to an end with Xuanyuan Ling, the Phoenix Clan's Imperial Princess of this generation. Only when the God-Slaying Whip pierced her chest did she finally understand. For all her boundless divine power, she was nothing but a beast god without a heart or a mind. She had never imagined that her clan and closest kin, those she revered, loved, and longed for, would one day become monsters eager to devour her flesh and drink her blood. Surrounded by the heavenly soldiers at Qiongyao Terrace, she watched her husband approach slowly, the God-Slaying Whip in his hand. Too late, she realized the truth, overcome with grief and rage. Beneath the Soul-Slaying Whip, her spirit shattered, leaving behind nothing but a ruined reputation. How could she not hate them! Hundreds of years later, on a small grave hill in a remote corner of the mortal world, a remnant soul, its memories of the past erased, awakens within a mysterious blood pearl and attaches itself to the body of a young girl born with a heavenly destiny, who died before her time. Thus, Ling descends upon the mortal realm, and the phoenix cries across the Nine Provinces.
