The Little Ancestress of the Gu Family

Miss Fu ran away from home to escape an arranged marriage, only to fall into the hands of thieves and suffer serious injuries. She was rescued by the fiancé she had never met, but when she woke up, she discovered he’d saved the wrong person: he’d mistaken her for his girlfriend, who had been missing for years. That wouldn’t do at all, so Miss Fu hurried off, without even taking her things. She was about to become history’s quickest runaway when she spotted a man at the crossroads, a faintly mocking smile on his lips. “Trying to run? Where do you think you’re going?” Miss Fu tried to reason with him. “I’m not your fiancée. You’ve got the wrong person.” “Fine. If you won’t be my fiancée, you can go straight to being Mrs. Gu.” “There are so many handsome men out there. I haven’t finished looking at them yet.” “Are any of them as handsome as me?” Miss Fu had seen plenty of self-centered people, but never anyone quite this conceited. Everyone in City A stands in awe of the head of the Gu family. Who in the city doesn’t know he has no interest in women? Wherever he goes, not even a female mosquito dares come within ten meters of him. Just when everyone thought he’d live out his days alone with his enormous fortune, news broke that he was engaged to the eldest daughter of the Fu family. Everyone assumed it was merely a business alliance, and some began to feel sorry for the young lady. Given how much the head of the Gu family detested women, people privately bet on when Miss Fu would be thrown out. Little did they know, the one they’d see thrown out in the end would be the head of the Gu family. “Xianxian, honey, sweetheart, darling, I was wrong. Open the door!” “What’s one outfit? I’ll give you the whole mall to use as a walk-in closet.”
