A Gentle, Meandering Stream

Eight years ago, a line of neat script was written on pale blue paper: “Now that I have met a gentleman, may he never cast me aside.” Eight years later, she smiled and said, “Hello, my name is Zhong Siyu.” Eight years ago, the ink on the pale blue paper was still wet: “The maiden is graceful and lovely. My heart delights in her.” Eight years later, the man standing before her replied coolly, “Lu Fangzhou.” “Now that I have met a gentleman, may he never cast me aside.” Those were your words, but in the end, you were the first to leave me. “Zhong Siyu, I've been waiting for you for eight years!” Lu Fangzhou took a deep breath to steady himself, then looked at her again. “Let's go.” “Where?” “The civil affairs bureau.” Zhong Siyu would never forget that day. Golden sunlight filtered through the plane tree leaves and scattered across the ground. A young man stood amid the dappled light. A graceful gentleman, as pure as white jade. That was when she seemed to understand what it meant to fall in love at first sight. … **A pottery-world goddess and a legal-world elite** Zhong Siyu discovers she can't look into Lu Fangzhou's eyes, or she'll “commit a crime.” What she doesn't know is that Lu Fangzhou deliberately draws her into “committing a crime” with his eyes, time and again.
