This Supporting Male Character Shouldn't Have Such a Tragic Fate

(This is a 1v1 romance. The heroine transmigrates into a book, and the hero is reborn. The story is complete.) Here's the proper synopsis: - Tao Xi is obsessed with the world of novels. One day, she happens upon a mindless, sugary transmigration romance called “Across Time and Space Just to Meet You.” - She happens to be in a reading slump, so she keeps going without being picky. At one point, the heroine's bizarre behavior nearly makes her quit, but the refined and courteous second male lead, Qiang Yu, keeps her reading patiently. - Poor Qiang Yu has it especially rough. The heroine repays his kindness with betrayal, costing him his position as heir to the Medicine Clan. Later, the hero's baseless jealousy leads to him being repeatedly suppressed, and he ultimately dies a miserable, depressed death. - Fuming, Tao Xi writes a long, scathing review in the comments before going to bed, only to wake up the next day and discover she's transmigrated into “Across Time and Space Just to Meet You.” - After spending some time with him, however, Tao Xi realizes that the second male lead, Qiang Yu, seems different from the person in the book. So much for being refined and courteous! Who is this man in front of her, radiating such possessiveness? - Here's the short version: - The two couples introduced so far are: - (The absolute leads) Tao Xi, a clear-headed, passionate-at-heart homebody who transmigrates into a book, and Qiang Yu, the male supporting character who was a refined gentleman in his past life but is sweet on the outside and scheming within in this one. - (The older-woman-younger-man supporting couple) Yin Zhi, a cultivation prodigy who puts cultivation first and is clueless about romance, and You Yue, her devoted and passionate young disciple who knows how to play the helpless innocent.
