I Only Sneak a Glance at Him

[Bold, gorgeous senior girl VS aloof, scheming top student] Tang Xiu, a senior in high school, gets injured in a fight and spends two months in the hospital, missing the college entrance exam and becoming a repeat student the following year. An embarrassing case of mistaken identity brings her together with Song Cheng, the antisocial top student in her new class. Determined to win the favor of this unattainable beauty, she buries herself in her studies until she’s dizzy with exhaustion, but makes no progress at all. One day, at a school-wide disciplinary meeting, top student Song Cheng is named among those being reprimanded. Tang Xiu smiles, a clever plan taking shape in her mind. From then on, Song Cheng is accompanied on his triumphant walks home after school not only by the glow of the setting sun, but also by the figure of a bold young woman... On Song Cheng’s birthday, she drinks up her courage and deliberately gets drunk, wrapping her arms around him and refusing to let go. With red lips and bleary eyes, she murmurs, “Song Cheng, I like you.” The boy says, “I know.” She swallows, rubbing her shoulder against his. “Song Cheng, I want to kiss you.” The boy gives a quiet snort. “Don’t just talk about it.” Her heart leaps, and she stammers, dazed, “Then... should I kiss you?” The boy grows impatient. “Enough with the questions. Hurry up!” The other students gasp. “It’s over! The unattainable beauty has been completely devoured by that vixen!”
